Philadelphia Is Crap

Having lived outside of Philadelphia most of my life I learned long ago…to let go…of any anger regarding columns, reviews, rankings etc. of how bad Philadelphia is as a city.  You have to live in a city to “get it.” We have our problems…but no more than any other major city.

Then came along this You Tube Video courtesy of an “Asian (Taiwan) media organization”…

Philadelphia is the crappiest city in the U.S.?  The best part is the group who put together this little “tribute” to the City of Brotherly Love did not intend for the video to be mean.  The “logic” is they did not include more regarding our crime rate or urban blight.

The May 27th edition of the Taiwan News has an interesting lead story about “167 Ingredient Suppliers Affected By Toxic Contamination.” (Taiwan has been allowing its citizens to be exposed to a cancer-causing agent in their daily food and drink products)

There are many other stories available about how “wonderful” life in Taiwan is these days…here’s one about running out of water someday.

It is common sense we as a nation would side with our new-found pals in China…and less inclined to stick up for Taiwan if and when push comes to shove regarding the region’s stability and security.  You know who the U.S. is rolling with if China decides to roll into Taiwan.

Taiwan, good luck with that…as well as finding some water…and food and drink that won’t kill you.

Now that’s a crappy situation.

  2. TL, I do not know how much play the video has gotten nationally…but in our area it obviously is “the talk of the town!”
